Sunil Grover's rise in the World of Comedy

1)  Comedian Sunil Grover has won millions of hearts across the globe with his stint on Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. He rose to unprecedented heights with his enactment of a cross-dressed woman, Gutthi and then by playing an aged Dr. Mashoor Gulati, who offers unique medical treatments to his patients. While we know Sunil when he became famous, but the big question remains where was he before his talent was discovered by the world?

2) It was late comedian Jaspal Bhatti who spotted Sunil Grover, and introduced him to the world of television with his Punjabi Comedy show 'Full Tension'. Till date, Sunil gives credit to the popular actor, for he learnt a lot about comedy through him. Not the one to stop, Sunil then acted in India's first silent comedy on SAB TV called Gutur Gu. Unfortunately, the show did not fare well and was taken off air later. With other shows such as Professor Money Plant, Lo Kar Lo Baat, Chala Lallan Hero Ban Ne etc. also not doing justice to the comedian's talent, Sunil then dabbled in the radio industry as RJ Sud. Yet again, success eluded him.

3) Sunil tried to bounce back with 'Kya Aap Paanchvi Fail Champu Hain?' on Filmy TV channel, which was a spoof on actor Shah Rukh Khan's show 'Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?' Sunil copied SRK unabashedly on the game show, mimicking not just his style but also wearing the same clothes as the superstar. The show was a dud and failed to garner the desired TRPs

4)  As it is, every artist receives his due sooner or later, Sunil got his with Gutthi on Comedy Nights with Kapil, where he left the audience in splits with his comic act and proved his mettle as an actor. Even though he left the show briefly for his own comedy show Mad in India, but the love of the viewers and fans got him back to Comedy Nights

5)  Currently, the comedian is in news for apparently leaving The Kapil Sharma Show, after co-actor and fellow comedian, Kapil, allegedly assaulted and abused him on flight. There is no denying that there is no one who can play Dr. Mashoor Gulati on the comedy show better than him. Sunil has carved a niche for himself purely due to his hard work and comic timing. Hence, it is not only going to be difficult to replace him but also impossible.

5)  Considering the talent he has, we hope that Sunil bounces back with all his might. As it is, his experience of working in various industries has surely not gone in vain, it has made him a versatile actor and the best in the entertainment industry today....
